Product Description:

The demister pad is a wire-mesh-based separation component designed to capture fine liquid droplets from gas streams. Through the knitted mesh layers with controlled density and porosity, the pad forces the gas flow to change direction repeatedly, enlarging collision areas where mist particles coalesce and fall back by gravity. This design improves process purity and prevents liquid carryover in distillation columns, absorption towers and other gas-liquid systems.

 

Structure, Materials & Performance:

The pad is constructed from stainless steel wire, polymer wire or corrosion-resistant alloys depending on service conditions. Common materials include SS304, SS316L for general chemical environments, and PP, PTFE for acidic or highly corrosive systems. Mesh densities from 80–200 kg/m³ allow selection for different droplet sizes and gas velocities. Customized shapes—round, square or special tower-fit rings—ensure proper sealing and high separation efficiency.
