Corrugated sheets with a defined inclination angle create uniform gas and liquid channels, giving high separation efficiency at low pressure drop. Compared with random packing, structured packing achieves more theoretical stages per meter of bed height, which is why it is preferred for vacuum distillation and heat sensitive products.

Applications
Crude and vacuum distillation, solvent recovery, natural gas dehydration and sweetening, CO2 and H2S absorption, strippers, deethanizers, depropanizers, fine chemical rectification and air separation prepurification. Retrofits of trays with structured packing are a common way to raise throughput without new vessels.
Engineering Collaboration
Our team works from the client's process data to recommend packing type, bed height and distributor design. Drawings are issued for approval before cutting and forming, and beds are assembled in numbered blocks for correct installation sequence on site.
Quality and Packing
Sheet thickness, corrugation angle, block dimensions and surface finish are inspected on every batch. Packing blocks are strapped into transport frames, labelled by bed and layer number, and shipped with installation drawings to keep site assembly quick.
Installation and Startup
Structured packing must be installed clean and level, with each block aligned to the one below and the corrugation direction reversed between adjacent layers to promote mixing. Beds are delivered in numbered blocks that correspond to the approved drawing, so site crews can place them without confusion. During startup the liquid distributor should be checked for even irrigation, since a poor initial wetting pattern will reduce efficiency for the whole run.
