The Engineering Logic Behind Gabion
A gabion is a double twist hexagonal mesh box filled with stone. Because the structure is flexible, it can settle without cracking and it drains freely, relieving water pressure behind retaining walls. Double twist weaving prevents the mesh from unravelling even if a single wire is damaged, which is essential in fast flowing channels.

Applications
River bank and channel lining, weirs and check dams, retaining walls, bridge abutment protection, rockfall and landslide protection, road and railway embankment stabilization, coastal revetment, landscaping walls and noise barriers. Manufacturing and Testing
Wire is galvanized before weaving, and each box is assembled with internal diaphragms and corner lacing wire for dimensional stability. Tensile strength, zinc coating weight and mesh opening are tested per batch. Installation drawings and lacing instructions are supplied with each order to help site teams achieve the designed performance.
Logistics
